What information do you collect?

  • Information you send us. If you email us — a tip, a correction, a question — we receive your address and whatever you choose to include, and we keep it only as long as needed to handle your message.
  • Analytics data. We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. This does not identify you personally.
  • Server logs. Like most sites, our host records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and reliability.

We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask you to log in, so we hold no profiles, food logs, or health data.

Do you use cookies?

We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics we use is configured to avoid storing personally identifying information, and you can block cookies in your browser without losing access to the content.

Emails are retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Aggregate analytics are retained in non-identifying form. Server logs are rotated on our host’s standard schedule.

Is the site intended for children?

The Calorie Guardian is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Will this policy change?

We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on our corrections page.
